677 Ala Moana

To locals, it’s the Gold Bond building. And what that building was – and what it is now – is like night and day. Built in the 1970s, the two buildings had separate entrances that were somewhat fused together in a dark confusing network of halls, stairs and lanai. Today, clean design laced with a touch of Hawaii, an open air garden terrace, bold color and contemporary graphics give splash and scale to a building that is now a preferred home for many of Hawaii’s young entrepreneurs. The renovation was accomplished while tenants remained fully operational.
