Bachelor Enlisted Quarters 4433 at Camp Courtney on Okinawa needed renovations to modernize, repair, and bring the building into EPACT compliance as well as LEED Silver Certification.

AHL’s scope was to assess the design of the BEQ 4433 by Gushiken Architectural Engineering Co. Ltd. at the 60% design phase, conduct a Sustainable Design Workshop for the A/E and NAVFAC team to educate them on the USGBC’s LEED BD+C Green Building Rating System with a primary focus on NC, New Construction; and develop an executive report summarizing the findings and providing recommendations on moving forward to seek LEED Silver certification.
