Honolulu Police Department Crime Lab

The renovation of theHonolulu Police Department’s forensic laboratory was carefully planned into multiple phases to minimize the impact to on-going laboratory operations. The expanded facility was cleverly designed to utilize available existing mechanical and electrical capacities.

Work included major renovation and expansion of the existing laboratory into a full-service forensic laboratory that will serve the federal, state and county law enforcement agencies in Hawai‘i.

The existing cafeteria and kitchen were converted into meeting rooms and a shop for the finance department and print shop operations.
