The Salvation Army Family Treatment Services Facility

AHL was pleased to provide pro bono services as part of its 60th anniversary celebration. This included architectural, interior design and project management services for the renovation of this community facility in Manoa.

The entire design team was made up of dedicated architects and consultants willing to donate their time in making this a beautiful and welcoming facility that encourages a better quality of life for its users.

The renovation of this facility, consisting of two 55-year-old concrete, single-story structures of 4,400 square feet each, created six dorm-style living units with one kitchen and two large baths per building.

Exterior improvements include repair and/or replacement of existing windows and screens; patching and repairing of spalling and cracks in the façade; repairing/adding downspouts as needed; replacement of existing roofing and repairing of the existing deck; resurfacing of the concrete lanai and walkways and overall repainting.

Interior improvements include replacing existing partitions, ceilings and floor finishes; installing new lighting; renovating the existing kitchen and replacing old appliances; providing life safety and identification signage and addressing ADA concerns throughout each building including access.
