AHL has prepared master plans for projects of all sizes in Hawaii and throughout Asia. The process, regardless of the facility’s size, is the same. Before embarking on the preparation of a master development plan, we assess the existing conditions and facilities. In addition to this analysis, AHL identifies or reconfirms its mission, strategic plan, planning assumptions, and objectives.
Preliminary programs are then developed based on utilization factors, strategic directives, and/or projections for future growth. Once the above information is gathered and analyzed, alternative conceptual plans can be developed. At this stage, the planning will be at a broad based planning level, identifying site concerns. AHL’s approach is to prepare several alternative development plans for comparison. A plan is recommended after the comparative analysis is complete.
